Packing and Unpacking Your Amazing Visio Repository

You can pack all the files in your current Repository (including the main and the sub-folders) into a single, compressed file - an Easy Link Package of Amazing Visio.  This file can be unpacked later on on any computer to restore your Repository. 

Packing Your Repository

  1. Click this button visio_EasyLink_Package.PNG (330 bytes) on the Toolbar.  This window shows:
    visio_EasyLink_Package_Pack.PNG (10376 bytes)

  2. Click "From Repository" if you need to pack a different Repository

  3. Click "Save As" to specify a file location and name

  4. Choose "Include sub-folders" to include all the files in all the sub-folders

  5. Click "OK" to create the package.  The file will have an extension of "esl".  It uses the same compressed format as WinZip.

Unpacking Your Repository

  1. Click this button visio_EasyLink_UnPackage.PNG (336 bytes) on the Toolbar.  This window shows:
    visio_EasyLink_Package_UnPack.PNG (10361 bytes)

  2. Click "Package File" to choose a file.

  3. Click "Save to Folder" to choose a Repository folder, preferably an empty one to avoid files in the folder being overwritten.

  4. Click the OK button to unpack it.

Alternatively:
You can double click the file to bring up the unpack window:
