Avoid Using Default Page Names

The default page names in Visio (Page-1, Page-2 and so on) will change automatically according to the physical position of the page.  For example, when you delete or insert a page, or change its order, a page named "Page-2" may change its name automatically to "Page-3".

This may have impact on your publishing:

  1. A "Page-2" in a Word document may be replaced with the contents of the previous "Page-3"
  2. Similarly, a link to your online page "Page-2" from your own Web page may actually link to the wrong page

To stop this from happening, always use a meaningful name for your page, such as "Overview".
