The Print Tab

Use this tab to define the printing options for publishing online:

Generate Web Page for High Quality Printing:  Choose this option to generate a stand-alone web page for printing.  This page contains the page picture but nothing else.  Therefore the printout is clear.  In addition, you can define different options as described below.

Template: To choose a template for your printing page.  Please click here for details.

Use Scalable File Format: To use a WMF (Window Metafile) instead of the existing PNG file.  WMF is scalable and can potentially make your printout smoother when you change the printing size.

There are limitations to this format though:

1. This format is supported by Internet Explorer only.  Therefore don't use it if you need to support Netscape as well.

2. The file size is much bigger and takes much longer to download. 

3. The WMF file contains its original contents.  Any editing (adding a caption or rotating the page) will not be included.

Print Icon: To use an icon on your display page to link to the printing page, like this one.

: Choose an icon to link to the printing page.  Click Default Folder to choose a predefined icon, or Current Folder to choose what you have created.

Print Label: To define the text to link to the printing page

Where:

• Show as Icon Tip: To show the text when the mouse is over the printing icon
• Show as Text: To show the text on the Web page
• Do not Show: Don't show it in either case
• The text: Enter the text of your choice

Print Scale

Use this section to specify the printout size in order to fit into one or more pages of any size of paper.

Unit: To choose a printing unit

Width / Height: To define the width and height of the printout.   Choose a value from the list or enter your own.

Tips:

1. Leave Width or Height blank to keep the printout proportional to the original
2. Choose menu File and then Print Preview from your browser to preview the layout
