Turning off Amazing Visio Toolbar, Setting Up Licenses

Turning off Amazing Visio Toolbar

Starting from Version 4.0.3, you can turn off the Amazing Visio toolbar and access all your tools from the Shortcut Menu (That shows when you click your right mouse button anywhere on your Visio drawing).

How:

  1. Choose Show On Right Mouse Click Menu and Hide Toolbar from the above window
      
  2. This toolbar disappears:

  3. Additional menu items shows when you click your right mouse button anywhere on your Visio drawing:

Why Do I Need This Feature?

As a limitation, Visio deletes all the Customized Toolbars when shutting down if any toolbar(s) have been created dynamically, such as the Amazing Visio toolbar.   It means that any toolbars you have created manually will be removed and will NOT show up the next time Visio starts.

Turning off Amazing Visio toolbar will let you stay away from the above limitation and easily access all the tools from your right mouse click menu instead.

How about Other Third Party Toolbars?

Pleas test their behavior and check with the vendors as needed.   Amazing Visio Toolbar can coexist with any toolbars.

Setting Up Licenses

Use the Amazing Visio window above to set up your  licenses.   Click the License button of a tool, such as Easy Publish, this window shows:

Enter the license number and then press the OK button.

Easy Stencil Download

Instead of entering a license number for Easy Stencil, you will download a resource pack for stencils and templates.  Please click here for details.

Hiding Product Display

Choose the Hide option of a product and then click the OK button.   The product icon will then be removed from the Toolbar and Shortcut menu.

Hiding the Easy Publish Icon

visio_EasyPublish_SysTrayIcon.PNG (1502 bytes) The icon beside the computer clock lets you bring up a Visio drawing for its graphic presentation in Word or PowerPoint.   Choose the Hide option under the label Beside Clock to hide this icon so that it won't show up when your computer starts.

Security Warning on Windows 2000

When you run Visio 2003 on Windows 2000 the first time after you have installed Amazing Visio, this security warning shows:

This is one more step of safety measure for you to ensure that you trust the program, in this case Amazing Visio, to be executed from inside of Visio as Macros.

Simply choose "Always trust macros from this publisher" and then click Enable Macros.  Amazing Visio will then be able to talk to Visio to accomplish various tasks.

Amazing Visio will be running outside of Visio.  In other words, it will NOT add any macros to your drawing. 

Setting Up Visio 2003 Security Level for Micros

Visio 2003 has more security restriction than the previous versions.    In order to use Amazing Visio, please ensure that you choose a Security Level except for Very High.  Otherwise the Amazing Visio toolbar won't show and the program can't be executed from within Visio.

To access this window:

  1. Choose menu Tools and then Options

  2. Click tab Security

  3. Click button Micro Security
