Working with Shape Borders and Connectors

You can define how a shape's border or a connector shows.  For example:

Before:

  • Border: Thin, solid line.

  • Connector: Thin, solid line.

After:

  • Border: Thick, dash line with rounded corners.

  • Connector: Thick, solid line with an arrow and a different color.

  1. visio_HowTo_Border_Line.PNG (410 bytes) Click the down arrow of these icons on the Format toolbar to change the line thickness and pattern, and add arrows to a connector.

  2. visio_HowTo_Border_LineColor.PNG (335 bytes)  Click the down arrow of the Line Color icon on the Format toolbar to change the color.

  3. visio_HowTo_Border_LineCorner.PNG (279 bytes) Click the down arrow of the Corner Rounding icon on the Format Shape toolbar to change the corner style.
