Setting Up the Direct Access to the Online Help

Obsolete: This feature is for Amazing Visio version 1.1 only.  Please click here for details.

The menu is created with macro scripts in a special stencil amazing_global when your drawing is opened.  Depending on the security setting, Visio may warn you each time a drawing is to be opened.  Disabling the access from this window will stop the potential warning for all the drawings that contain amazing_global.  To access this window: Choose menu Amazing Help > About Amazing Visio.

Click the checkbox to toggle the access then click the OK button.  When the direct access is disabled, a blank stencil is used instead of the real amazing_global, and the word "Blank" shows on the stencil title:

After disabling the direct access, you can still get help by clicking the Tutorial and Help icons on your Windows desktop or in your Amazing Visio program folder (Start > All Programs > Amazing Visio).  To enable the access again, go to the folder then click the About Amazing Visio icon.

We suggest that you enable the direct access most of the time but disable it before you do a presentation.
