What Is A Shape?  What Is A Master?

visio_logo_32x32.gif (1061 bytes) A shape is a predefined drawing unit, such as a Rectangle or a Connector.  A shape can be 1, 2, or 3 dimensional.  For example:

Where:

  • Yes and No Connectors: 1 dimensional

  • Rounded Rectangle and Diamond Shapes: 2 dimensional

  • 3D-box, Computer, and Cylinder: 3 dimensional.
